Looking through my Vietnam Veterans of America magazine, I keep looking at a page that has a huge list of videos of the Vietnam War. The first one is $29.95 and then $19.95 thereafter … not sure if its PER order, but anyway, I digress.
If you served there or know someone who did serve in Vietnam. Perhaps you can find something that relates directly to their company, an offensive or something they can identify with.
Many Vietnam Vets don’t even want to talk about ‘Nam or their time there …. NOTHING. Why? Because of the horrible welcome we got when we came home. There was NO “Thank You”. There was a lot of name calling, like “Baby Killers” and sometimes getting spit on.
My friends, times have changed and a lot of people are recognizing the error of their ways and the error that people made, by hating us, when all we did was serve our country and do our best, as any soldier does, in action.
Anyway … pass the web address along to your friends, or refer them to my short blip, here. As a Vietnam Veteran ( ’70-’71 Duc Pho, Chu Lai, Dong Ha -operation Lam Son 719, the biggest helicopter operation of ANY war, past or present. ) I’d like you to try to help a fellow ‘Nam vet heal from the hate we received. I’m not making a dime on any of the videos and wish they were cheaper, so more people could afford to buy as many as they’d like to see.
